Our Story

Hi, I’m Brandon. As a lifelong cyclist and outdoor enthusiast, I thrive on being prepared with lightweight, reliable gear that doesn’t hold me back. But when it came to dog walks, I hit a roadblock. The store-bought options just didn’t cut it.

So, I took matters into my own hands. Starting with a humble musette bag—a lightweight bag used in bicycle races—I began designing the ultimate gear bag for dog lovers. It needed to be light yet durable, slim but roomy, stylish, comfortable, and easy to grab and go.

During the design process, every decision mattered—the fabric, the shape of the pockets, the strap stitching, and the hardware and accessory attachments. Everything needed to work together to deliver incredible functionality while staying delightfully simple.

My grandmother taught me to sew as a child, but it had been many years since I’d used a machine, so I took a class to refresh my skills. I loved reconnecting with this craft - measuring, and cutting, folding, sewing; making adjustments and trying again. And I love being able to bring a design idea to life. However, while I made great strides in my sewing, I wasn't quite ready to sew finished products.

That set me on the search for the right production partner, and I found one—a family-owned sewing shop in the heart of Denver. I’m proud that Puzette is made locally, right here in Colorado.

Together, we’ve transformed that makeshift musette into the Puzette you see today. Simple, complete, lovable, and designed to make dog life better every day.
